A Ramadan guide for non-Muslims

fasting-in-Islam1In the next few weeks, you may come into work and find your co-worker taking a power nap at 9:30am. At break time, you’ll notice she is missing in the discussion about Harry Potter over at the water cooler. At the staff meeting, you will be shocked when she is offered coffee and cookies and refuses ! By lunch time, your concern about her missing at the water cooler compels you to investigate the situation.

Then you remember what she had mentioned last week over a delicious Sushi lunch. Flooded with relief, you go up to her desk, and proclaim with much gusto, “Ramadan Mubarak (Moo-baa-rak)!” Ramadan’s Blessings to you!

The month of Ramadan is a happy occasion; it is the month that the Muslim holy book, the Koran, was revealed to our Prophet Muhammad. Muslims are called by their religion to celebrate the month by coming together in worship, fasting each day for thirty days from dawn until sunset.

While this may seem like a tremendous feat, consider this: Fasting while working is an even greater endeavor. Make it a little easier on your Muslim colleague by following a couple of simple rules:

Urgent Invitation

Assalam Alaykum Brothers and Sisters. Muslims are under attack by liars and defamers in Minnesota. Usama Dakdok is an Egyptian Christian who has lied about Islam, Allah, and Muhammad (SAW). He ended his speech yesterday saying that America needs to tear down every Masjid. The crowd was cheering. They days of sitting quiet are over. Today me and some brothers and sisters go to confront this liar in Bagley, MN. Please feel free to join us as we stand up for Islam and educate the citizens of Bagley, MN about the true message of Islam. Please make dua for us and all of the Muslims around the world.

Example of a reality we all need to acknowledge and work on, in shaa Allah

Beautifull Example !
One day a construction supervisor from 6th floor of building was calling a worker working on the ground floor. Because of construction noice, the worker on ground floor did not hear his supervisor calling. To draw the attention of the worker, the supervisor dropped a 10 rupee note from up which fell right around in front of the worker. The worker picked up the 10 rupee note, put it in his pocket & continued with his work.Again to draw the attention of the worker, the supervisor now dropped 500 rupee note & the worker did the same, picked up the 500 rupee note, put it in his pocket & started doing his job.Now to draw attention of the worker, the supervisor picked a small stone & threw on him. The stone hit exactly the worker’s head. This time the worker looked up & the supervisor communicated with the worker. This story is same as of our life.Allah wants to communicate with us, but we are busy doing our worldly jobs. Then, Allah gives us small gifts & we just keep them without seeing from where we got them. Then, Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us big gifts & we continue the same. Just keep the gifts without seeing from where they come & without thanking Allah. We just say we are fortunate. When we are hit with a small stone, which we may call problems or afflictions, then, we invoke Allah for His blessings. Thank Allah always in whatever condition you are in. Alhamdulillahi Ala’a Kulli Haal. May Allah Subhana wa ta’ala find us among His pious, thankful and obedient servants Ameen.

Allāhu Akbar! Just after Asr, brother Steve took his shahadah

10487556_10152567060444739_4061178650394415115_nAllāhu Akbar! Just after Asr, I met this curious gentleman named Steve outside the mosque and on inviting him to Islam he took his Shahadah. I showed him how to make Wuḍūʾand he stayed with me until we prayed Maghrib in congregation.
Wallahi, the moment he lifted his head from sujood he was all in tears. His hands raised up praying to God. I could feel the joy of enlightment gushing through his eyes. That moment of blessing just embraced my heart!
May Allah keeps him steadfast and bestows upon him His beautiful blessings, peace and tranquility. Ameen.

It is totally false that Muslims hate Jews

10482297_10152193768461173_3173094143609905484_n

It is totally false that Muslims hate Jews. The Quran addresses the Jews as people of the book.

The Jews used to see the Muslims as liberators from the oppressors in Europe.

However, Muslims find the actions and idealogy of the Zionist state abhorrent.

How evil it is that the Zionist who claim to speak for Jews, are killing and stealing from the very people who liberated them.

We are anti Zionist not anti Semetic.

The Zionists are the real racists, who don’t only claim superiority over the Muslims who are Arabs, but they also claim superiority over the Jews who are black.

(And they say Muslims don’t believe in freedom to practice your religion. Not true. We allow people to practice their own faiths in an Islamic society. But since in a Shariah it’s an Islamic theocracy, we govern by Allah’s Law. Not by laws of all religions. Just Islamic Law. That doesn’t mean, however, you can’t practice your respective faith freely.)

10380287_10152553020269739_3686205267702732000_n

Analdino met us in San Bento, he had visited the a Mosque before in another city called Brasilia and he found it a very spiritual place, after a brief conversation and we gave him the Quran to read. He took the Quran and kissed it twice. Then we said goodbye and parted.

After a little while we changed the location of dawah and went to another area. There we met him again and this time after a brief conversation he took shahada with John Fontain. He was so happy to come into the fold of Islam and he said Muslims are the best and he gave a special message to other Brazilians about Islam, watch out for the new video coming out in the next few hours in-shaa-Allah.

Join us for the Finale on 5th July:

Takbeer. Another new Muslim in dundee!

‪#‎shahada‬

Takbeer. Another new Muslim in dundee!

The brother who became Muslim on the dawah table last month invited another brother soon after and another today!!!
Both embraced Islam agreeing there is nothing worthy of worship except God and Muhammad is the final messenger.
The brother today came to the mosque saying he was atheist and believed in God. Then declared his belief in Islam and took shahada with a brother.
Allah guides those who he wills.
This brother who invites them is now called the dawah machine. May god reward him with good.

Tahira Khadijah – Former Hindu Accepts Islam

Tahira Khadijah – Former Hindu Accepts Islam

I am 21 year old and I took my shahadah when I was 20, about 6 months ago. And, I came from a Hindu family.
Like every teenager, I joined my college in a small town in West Bengal, India. I had everything a teenager would desire, loving parents, awesome college, superb buddies and I had a loving boyfriend. Everything was perfect but still I felt some shortage, a sort of dissatisfaction. I had Muslim friends, but we never talked about Islam or any religion. Rather, I picked up interest in Christianity as I always felt an attraction towards prophet Isa (AS), but somehow, the concept of trinity disturbed me.
But I always had a spiritual attraction towards Kaa’ba. I remember saying my boyfriend about a future trip to Mekkah and especially Kaa’ba. (I didn’t know that I had to be a Muslim to go to Mekkah). I used to spend my time watching the video of people doing Umrah and more I saw the videos more I developed the attraction. Continue reading “Tahira Khadijah – Former Hindu Accepts Islam”
